Are there any mortgage providers in Switzerland which let me get a mortgage online?

Relatively few purely online mortgages are available in Switzerland. Lenders which offer mortgages online include Swissquote (mortgages from the Basellandschaftlichen Kantonalbank), Hypomat (Glarner Kantonalbank), Homegate (mortgages from the Zürcher Kantonalbank), e-hypo.ch (Schwyzer Kantonalbank) and Swiss Life Direct.

Online offers are generally somewhat limited compared to mortgages available directly at bank branch offices. Example: Many online mortgages are only offered with 10-year terms.

Before mortgaging a property online, you should have a thorough understanding of how mortgages work. If you are already familiar with mortgages, and possibly already have a mortgage yourself, then online mortgages are definitely worth considering. These are often more affordable than equivalent mortgages obtained from bank consultants.

Regardless of how you choose to apply for mortgages, signed confirmation on paper is required when you sign up for any bank products in Switzerland.
