My daughter's phone was stolen at school. Does Swiss renters insurance cover this?

Hi there,

Theft of personal property outside of your home is only covered by Swiss household insurance when you include the optional "Simple theft away from home" rider on your insurance policy. If your policy includes this coverage, you can file a claim for reimbursement.

Bear in mind that insurers may only compensate the actual cash value and not the replacement value of the stolen item.
