I saw an advertisement for a lending company. It's very international and runs in many different countries. They claim to be able to clear up all bad credit reports including the ZEK, debt collection register and so on without much hassle. But they require a prepayment of several hundred francs. What do you make of it?

Hi there,

As a rule, trustworthy lenders do not require prepayment of interest or other fees ahead of issuing a loan.

It is also worth noting that only creditors who place entries in a debt collection register can have them removed ahead of schedule.

The personal loan comparison on moneyland.ch includes only trustworthy lenders which provide loans themselves (no brokers) and are registered with Swiss financial regulators.

Making prepayments for loans is always best avoided.
