What is the difference between a private account and a private account plus in Switzerland? Does anyone have experience with this? As far as I can tell, a private account plus is free of charge if you hold 25,000 Swiss francs in it, and a normal private account is free of charge as long as you hold just 7500 francs in it. Are there any other differences?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

A Private Account Plus from PostFinance lets you withdraw money from your account without paying a fee - both in Switzerland and abroad (charges from third party banks or ATM operators may still apply outside of Switzerland). A regular private account from PostFinance only lets you withdraw money without paying a fee at PostFinance ATMs in Switzerland.

Another advantage of the Plus model is that you can open multiple accounts in CHF, EUR or other currencies as you choose and all accounts are covered by the administrative fee.
