Hi forum,

Have any of you used the Publibike bicycle rental scheme in Zurich? What are the prices? Is it a good service and system?

Hi,

For regular users ("Swissbike"):

The customer card costs 10 francs.

The first 30 minutes are free, each additional hour costs 2 francs (e-bike: 4 francs) At night after 11:00pm, the fee is one-quarter the regular fee.

The most you will be charged is 20 francs per day (e-bike: 40 francs).

A DayBike for spontaneous use in French and Italian Switzerland cost 10 francs per day.

In German Switzerland they offer a QuickBike option (using a mobile code) which is somewhat expensive: 6 frncs for 1-2 hours, 9 francs for 3 hours, 12 francs for 4 hours and so on. An e-bike costs exactly double the regular fees.

Hope this helps.
