I applied for a loan for my small business and the bank sent me a quote. The quote mentions a yearly service fee which seems almost as high as the interest charged annually. What is this service fee?

Hi there,

Unlike personal loans, which must include all fees and charges in the effective annual interest rate shown, business loans often have fees and charges in addition to interest.

The administrative fee or "service fee" is the most significant. This may apply just once when you get the loan or on a recurring basis (or both).

The business loan comparison on moneyland.ch clearly indicates service fees applicable to loans on the "Info" pages of each loan listed.

Best regards from Moneyguru
