In the case of supplementary hospital insurance, getting confirmation of coverage from your insurance provider before receiving treatment at a hospital is recommended. Certain hospital insurance policies only cover stays in specific wards (general or semi-private wards, for example) or at specific hospitals. It is also possible that the operation or treatment you want to receive is not covered by your health insurance or that other limitations apply.
