I have a question about legal insurance. What happens when an incident occurs and you need a lawyer? Can you pick your lawyer yourself and just have them bill the insurance company? Are you limited to working with specific lawyers? Being free to choose the best lawyers is obviously key to winning a case.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Hi there,

Coverage and conditions vary widely between legal insurance policies. The majority of legal insurance providers limit your choice of legal services, but some (like Assista and Dextra) do let you choose the lawyer you want.

You can easily compare the premiums, benefits and conditions attached to Swiss legal insurance policies using the moneyland.ch legal protection insurance comparison.

Best regards from Moneyguru
