I recently opened a Swissquote trading account. I funded my account with USD 500 via wire transfer. My account was only credited with USD 480. I don't know what happened to the $20 as there is no trace of it anywhere. Can anyone explain why that would happen?
Swissquote doesn't charge to receive wire transfers, so it must have been your bank or an involved third party that charged fees. If you sent the wire transfer using the BEN (recipient pays) or SHA (sender and recipient split the cost), then all or part of the fees charged by the bank you sent from would be deducted from the amount credited to your Swissquote account.
