My employer only wants to keep me if I commit to 100%. This does not work for us as my husband and I would like to work 50% each and take turns caring for the baby. I am worried that if I quit my job to care for the baby and find a part-time job, I will not receive unemployment benefits. What rules apply here?

If you have to quit your full-time job ahead of finding a part-time job after having a baby, you can claim unemployment benefits with no reduction.
