I just sold my car. Do I have to terminate the car insurance for that car or will it be terminated automatically?

How does this work in Switzerland?

Greetings,

When you sell your car, you are no longer obligated to have compulsory liability car insurance and you can terminate your policy by providing your insurer with a copy of the deregistration notice from the traffic office along along with your letter of termination. If your annual premium was paid up front, your insurer will reimburse the unused portion of your annual premium.

Best regards from Moneyguru
