I am a bit confused as to what information can be collected by credit bureaus. Are they limited to debt records or can they pry into relationships and other personal information as well?

Hi there,

Swiss credit bureaus can record your name, address, date of birth, debt collection records, bankruptcy records, information about previous bad debts and any other information which is directly relevant to creating an accurate description of your creditworthiness.

They are not allowed to collect health records, information regarding your whereabouts (mobile or GPS positioning data, for example), information about third parties (your spouse or kids, for example) or information about your religious affiliations. Credit bureaus are not authorized to collect any data which is not directly relevant to creditworthiness.

Best regards from Moneyguru
