In Switzerland, the legal retirement age is 64 years old for women and 65 years old for men (in 2017). You can begin receiving your social security pension and your second pillar pension fund annuities when you reach retirement age.

Allowances are made for early retirement, in which case you receive a lower pension. You can begin receiving your social security pension (pillar 1a) up to 2 years ahead of legal retirement age.

Early retirement limits for occupational pension funds (pillar 2a) are more flexible, with some pension funds allowing you to claim your pension as early as age 58.

Private retirement assets (pillar 3a) can be withdrawn up to 5 years before you reach legal retirement age.

In the case of social security and pension funds, early retirement results in your receiving a lower pension. You can also choose to put off retirement when you reach legal retirement age, in which case you receive a higher pension when you do eventually retire.

You can find a clear overview of retirement ages for the OASI (pillar 1), occupational pension funds (pillar 2), and tax-privileged private retirement savings (pillar 3a) here.
