I have just begun working for a Swiss employer and am looking into how accident insurance works. My biggest question is, am I automatically covered because I am employed, or will I only be covered once my boss takes out a policy for me?
Hi there,
In Switzerland, employers are required to take out accident insurance which covers employees from the date on which their employment contract comes into effect. You are covered from the date on which your employment begins.
