Hi there. Can you tell me what would happen to my money if I were to die without leaving any surviving heirs? After several generations of few or no children being born in my extended family, my family tree is very sparsely populated and my only surviving relatives are much older than I am. Who will get my money when I die?

If you have no surviving heirs, the only way you can control what happens to your money after you die is by creating a will. If you do not leave a will, your assets will be divided as per Swiss inheritance laws.
