I am considering buying bonds from Swiss companies. What can I expect to pay in taxes? From what I understand, a withholding tax is taken right from the yields I earn. Is that correct?

Hi there,

In Switzerland, a federal withholding tax equal to 35% of the yields you earn on bonds is deducted from your yields before they are paid out. You get reimbursed after you file your tax returns and pay your taxes for the year.
