I opened a checking account with them when I arrived in Switzerland after friends recommended the Kantonalbanks because of the plentiful ATMs and branches, and the state deposit guarantee. Can't complain so far (been 5 years). Staff are competent and have always been able to sort out issues fast. Online banking is good. Fees aren't exorbitant. Interest is pathetic, but I don't hold savings in the bank, just use it for transactions.
Can't vouch for more complex services like mortgages or business loans, but as far as basic banking I'm pretty satisfied.
