General
Worldwide coverage.
Within the scope of individual insurance: the policyholder. Within the scope of household insurance: the policyholder and those persons who live with him/her permanently in the same household. In addition: children in education and minor children of these persons who regularly return to his household as weekly residents.
Discount of 20 percent in private legal protection for persons up to the age of 25. Discount of 15 percent in private and traffic legal protection for persons from the age of 60. Stamp taxes of 5 percent included.
Choice of legal representation: the insurance company has the right to reject a lawyer proposed by the insured person. The insured person may then propose three lawyers from different law firms in the relevant jurisdiction, from which the insurance company can select the lawyer to be appointed.
The insurer can terminate the contract: at the latest 1 month before the end of the contract or insurance year. After every insured event for which a claim is payable. If material risk factors have been concealed or falsely communicated.
Minimum contract duration: 1 year. The contract will automatically renew for another year unless termination notice is given 1 month in advance.
Waiting period depending on the legal area: None up to 1 year.
No minimum amount in dispute.

Exclusions (examples): Disputes that involve drugs or alcohol. If the driver was not authorized to drive the vehicle. When acquiring or re-acquiring a driver’s license.
Advice on personal law, family law, inheritance law, data protection, association law, school law, objections to construction projects (max. 1 case). Insured persons aged 60 and over: Support in reviewing wills and drawing up living wills, CHF 20,000 every 3 years.
Company and contract law legal protection cases for self-employed persons included in premium. Costs of mediation: covered up to CHF 2000. Translation and travelling expenses (legal case abroad): covered up to CHF 10,000.
