Account & cards for young people

General information:

Banking package of PostFinance for young people. Provides customers with youth private account, savings account for young people, PostFinance Card and a prepaid card.
Digital opening with the PostFinance app or via the website is possible independently from the age of 12. A parent or other legal representative must be present to open the account at a post office or PostFinance branch.
The savings account and the private account are available in CHF and EUR.

For individuals between 12 and 20 years of age.

Package / account management fee:

Online account management is free of charge. Surcharge for paper documents: per customer relationship CHF 5 per month.

The additional charge for paper documents includes account statements, interest statements, credit card bills, payment orders and standing orders.

Private account interest rate:

Up to CHF 25,000: 0.1% per year.
From CHF 25,000: 0% per year.

Account opening:

The account opening is free of charge.

Closing of account:

The closing of account is free of charge.

Annual account closure:

The annual account closure is free of charge.

Statements of account:

The monthly statements of account by mail are free of charge.

Incoming payment:

Incoming payment in CHF are free of charge.

Outgoing payment (Switzerland):

Electronic payment orders in CHF are free of charge.

SEPA payment:

Electronic SEPA payment orders in EUR are free of charge.

Non-SEPA payment (abroad):

Fee of CHF 2.00 per electronic non-SEPA payment order in foreign currency.

Direct debit (LSV) Switzerland:

Electronic payment orders by direct debit (LSV) within Switzerland are free of charge.

Standing order Switzerland:

Electronic standing orders in CHF within Switzerland are free charge.

Annual fee debit card:

Debit card: There is no annual fee to pay.

Purchase Switzerland:

Debit card: Purchases in Switzerland in CHF are free of charge.

Purchase abroad:

Debit card: For purchases in foreign currencies, there is a fee of 1.5% of the purchase amount.

Cash withdrawal Switzerland:

Debit card:
Cash withdrawals in CHF at ATMs of the same bank in Switzerland are free of charge.
Cash withdrawals in CHF at ATMs of other banks in Switzerland are free of charge.

Cash withdrawal abroad:

Debit card:
Cash withdrawals abroad are free of charge.

Savings account interest rate:

Up to CHF 25,000: 0.25% per year.
From CHF 25,000: 0% per year.

Savings account
withdrawals:

Withdrawal possibilty: CHF 100,000 per calendar year and customer.
10 withdrawals per calendar year and customer are free of charge, additional withdrawals cost CHF 8 per withdrawal.
Larger amounts are subject to a notice period of 3 months.

Credit card:

Prepaid card: PostFinance Mastercard Value. Free of charge. Alternative (from the age of 18): PostFinance Mastercard Standard/PostFinance Visa Classic.

For purchases abroad or online in foreign currencies there is an administrative fee of 1.7% of the purchase amount.

Reward program:

Cashback program of PostFinance prepaid and credit cards.

Pillar 3a account

The termination of the banking relationship is free of charge.
