Private individuals are insured. Within the scope of individual insurance: the policyholder. Within the scope of household insurance: the policyholder and those persons who live with him/her permanently in the same household. In addition: children in education who regularly return to his household as weekly residents.

Insurance rate (comments):

25% discount for people up to 26 years. 10% discount for persons 60 years and older. Premiums include stamp duty of 5%.

Choice of legal representation:

Choice of legal representation: the insurance company has the right to reject a lawyer proposed by the insured person. The insured person may then propose three lawyers from different law firms in the relevant jurisdiction, from which the insurance company can select the lawyer to be appointed.

Termination of contract:

Both parties may cancel the contract at the end of the agreed contract term, but in any case at the end of the third or each subsequent insurance year. The notice period is 3 months.

Contract duration:

The contract term can be freely selected between 1 and 5 years (with or without an annual right of termination). If the contract is not canceled 3 months before it expires, it is renewed annually.

Waiting period:

The insurance coverage will be granted if the legal case arose after a waiting period of 3 months after the commencement of the insurance.
The waiting period does not apply in the event of a contract renewal/adjustment or a seamless change from the previous insurer if the corresponding risk was already insured and the original waiting period has expired. If the original waiting period has only partially expired, this period is counted towards the new waiting period.

There is no insurance cover if benefits have already been paid for the same person in one of the following cases.
- Driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol
- Driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs or medication
- Obstruction of measures to determine incapacity to drive
