General

General information:

Insurer is Helvetia.
Coverage limitation to Europe also possible - here worldwide coverage used for premium calculation.
In addition to cancellation costs and assistance insurance, legal protection and medical expenses are included in premiums.
Only for persons domiciled or habitually resident in Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Termination of contract:

The insurance is extended automatically if it is not cancelled at least 3 months before it ends.

Premiums for young persons:

Trip cancellation insurance (comments):

Worldwide coverage.
Additional costs due to flight delay (at least 3 hours): CHF 1000 per event and person.
Insurance coverage for airline and service provider insolvency: CHF 2000 per incident and person.
Volcanic eruptions and natural disasters: CHF 2000 per incident and person.
In the event of theft of personal documents or termination of employment or taking up employment: Limitation of benefits to CHF 10,000 per event and person (CHF 20,000 for families).

Accomodation & catering:

Additional costs for the continuation of the trip including accommodation and meals for a maximum of 7 days up to an amount of CHF 1000 per person (using a rental car up to CHF 1500, no matter how many people use the rental car).

Interruption and replacement:

The unused part of the trip is covered up to CHF 30,000 per person / CHF 70,000 per family.

Luggage:

In the event of a delay of at least six hours in the delivery of luggage, the insurance will cover the costs of strictly necessary purchases up to a maximum of CHF 1000 per person and CHF 4000 per booking. There is no entitlement to compensation on the return journey home.

Travel legal protection:

Legal protection costs of up to CHF 250,000 in Europe, up to CHF 50,000 in all countries outside Europe (per event). No coverage in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Medical expenses:

Coverage for medical and hospital expenses up to a maximum of CHF 1,000,000.
No coverage in Switzerland.
Only for persons resident in Switzerland.
