Apple TV

Apple TV is a trademark owned by Apple Inc. which is used for a series of set top boxes which are sold under the Apple brand. Apple TV set top boxes connect to the Internet (via a broadband Internet connection, for example) in order to stream remote video data. The set top box connects directly to a television set to reproduce the streamed content.

While earlier Apple TV devices came preinstalled with programs (apps) which could not be altered by average users, recent models provide the option of installing apps of your choice. Some Swiss television service providers – including Zattoo and Teleboy – offer Apple TV apps through which you can access their services.
