Broker

A broker is a financial services provider which acts as a mediator for financial transactions. In Switzerland, the term is used both in insurance and in banking.

An insurance broker should, ideally, operate independently of insurance companies in the interest of helping you find the best insurance coverage for your needs.

In banking, the term “broker” is normally used in relation to securities trading. The broker trades securities on the stock market on behalf of customers. In online trading, all banks and their online trading platforms may be referred to as brokers.
