The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.
Amount of premiums varies depending on the age, place of residence and gender of the insured person.
General ward: no co-payment.
Semi-private ward: no co-payment.
Private ward: co-payment of 35% (up to CHF 2000 per calendar year).
Discount when taking out a 3- or 5-year contract and for no claims.
The insured persons receive up to CHF 80 per day up to CHF 2000 per calendar year for spa or convalescent therapies.
Childbirth costs are covered in listed hospitals throughout Switzerland. For an inpatient birth at a birth centre: at least CHF 1000. Outpatient birth at home: max. CHF 1500 per birth. Waiting period: 365 days.
Stay of an accompanying person: CSS pays at most CHF 80 per day, up to a maximum of CHF 2000 per calendar year (in the case of minor children).
