Free choice of ward in all recognized hospitals in Switzerland. Free choice of doctor. Emergency services also worldwide.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums varies depending on the age, place of residence and gender of the insured person. The premiums for 2026 are shown here.

Option 1:
General ward: no co-payment.
Semi-private ward: co-payment of 40% (up to CHF 8000 per calendar year).
Private ward: co-payment of 70% (up to CHF 14,000 per calendar year).

Option 2:
General ward: no co-payment.
Semi-private ward: co-payment of 20% (up to CHF 4000 per calendar year).
Private ward: co-payment of 35% (up to CHF 7000 per calendar year).

Discount when taking out a 3- or 5-year contract and for no claims.

Upgrade option (from age 20 to a maximum of 70): For an additional fee, switch to a higher category without a medical exam, every 5 years.

Spa and convalescent therapy:

For medical reasons and prescribed by a doctor in a recognized spa: up to CHF 20 per day and up to CHF 500 per calendar year for spa treatments and convalescent cures in Switzerland. The minimum duration of a spa treatment is 14 days.

Maternity:

Childbirth costs are covered in listed hospitals throughout Switzerland. For an inpatient birth at a birth centre: CHF 1000. Outpatient birth at home: CHF 1000 per birth, without proof of costs. Waiting period: 365 days.

Rooming in:

Emergency transport costs:

Search and rescue costs:

Repatriation:

Hospital abroad:

Worldwide cover only for emergency treatments.

Rehabilitation stationary:

Choice between approved clinics, stay for a maximum of 60 days per calendar year.

Psychiatry:

Up to a maximum of 60 days per calendar year in a CSS-approved clinic.

Additional services:

Hospitalization and examination costs for newborns (for a maximum of 10 days from birth).
In-patient ligation (CHF 500 per case).
Transportation costs to avoid or shorten a hospital stay: maximum CHF 250 per calendar year.
CSS-Check-up (health account): 50 percent up to CHF 300 every 2 calendar years.
Gym membership (health account): 50 percent, maximum CHF 150 (family CHF 300) per calendar year.
