My parents are both over 80 and will likely pass away soon. Because my two siblings are busy with their own lives and also live far from where my parents stay, it has basically been left to me to care for my parents for the past 10 years. Am I entitled to a larger share of their inheritance on behalf of my service?

No. Swiss inheritance laws clearly regulate who is entitled to what portion of assets. However, your parents can designate all or part of the free portion of their assets to you by writing a will.

Your parents are also free to compensate you in the way of gifts. However, these gifts should be made well in advance of their deaths or they could count as inheritable assets.

Another option would be for your parents to pay you a monthly salary for your caregiving services.
