How do the Miles & More and the Avio frequent flyer programs compare? Which makes more sense for someone living in Switzerland?

Which frequent flyer program works best for you depends on which airlines you prefer to fly with and what destinations you travel to.

The Miles & More program has significantly more partner airlines then the Avios program. Miles & More partners include SWISS - the largest Swiss airline - and 37 other airlines. The Avios program includes British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus.

The value of Miles & More miles and Avios is similar, although value varies based on current offers.

If you want to use a credit card to earn miles while living in Switzerland, you will find both Miles & More and Avios credit cards from Swiss issuers.
