Swiss private banking (wealth management) is more expensive. You have a management fee of more than 1% (rather 1.5%) in general.
Important: This is just the management fee. Additionally, you normally have to pay spreads, foreign exchange fees, transaction fees and product fees (like fund fees: TER). Fund fees alone will cost you an additional 1-2% per year on average.
Conclusion: If you buy index ETFs by yourself (execution only), this is by FAR the cheaper solution.
Another possibility would be cheap robo advisory services. There, you typically have a minimal flat fee of 0.5% plus ETFs expenses. Thus, robo advisors are cheaper than usual private banking services, but a little more expensive than buying ETFs by yourself.
