I just applied for a new obligatory health insurance. The problem is that I didn't send in notice of cancellation for my existing health insurance, and I don't think I will get the notice to the insurance company before the end of November deadline.

My question is, what happens now? Will I have to keep, and pay for, both insurance policies? Can I cancel the new one and just stick with the old one (this would not be ideal as it is expensive). Is there any way I can still cancel my existing health insurance and switch to the new one for the new year?

I would appreciate any information you can give. Thanks.
