Good-Til-Canceled Order (GTC)

A good-til-canceled order is a trading order which remains in place until it is either filled or canceled. This instruction can be added to most order types including market orders and limit-orders.

Some stock exchanges limit the length of time for which orders can remain in place on the exchange. For example, the Xetra electronic exchange (Frankfurt Stock Exchange) limits orders to 360 days (T+359).
