General
Europe-wide coverage. Available as separate insurance products or a bundle product (Legis duo).
Private individuals are insured. Within the scope of individual insurance: the policyholder. Within the scope of household insurance: the policyholder and those persons who living permanently with him/her in the same household.
Stamp taxes of 5 percent included.
Free choice of lawyer.
The insurer can terminate the contract: at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or insurance year. After every insured event for which a claim is payable. If facts of risk have been concealed. In the event of fraud or an attempt to commit fraud.
Minimum contract duration: 3 years. The contract will automatically renew for another year unless termination notice is given 3 months in advance.
A waiting period of 3 months applies. The waiting period does not apply if the same risk was previously insured and there is seamless continuity of insurance coverage.
Minimum amount in dispute for external services of 2000 Swiss francs. In the case of legal matters in which the other party is represented by a lawyer, no minimum amount in dispute applies.
Legis priva: Online and patient legal protection as supplemental insurance available.
Legis strada: Exclusion: If the driver was not authorized to drive the vehicle.
Legal protection for advice in the area of personal, family (excluding marriage and divorce law) and inheritance law: One consultation up to a maximum of CHF 500 per case. Coverage limited to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Costs of mediation covered.
