Premium outpatient insurance

General

General information:

KPT Pulse Premium: Premium variant of the supplementary outpatient insurance. Travel and holiday insurance is included.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year. For contracts with a term longer than three years, the legal termination provisions apply.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums depends on various factors such as age and place of residence. Discount for a 3-year contract, for prepayment and for using the KPTnet customer portal (Receiving documents online, including free internet legal protection insurance).
The last age class change is at age 91.

Glasses and contact lenses:

Cost contribution to eyeglass lenses, contact lenses and vision aids: 100 percent up to CHF 500 every 3 calendar years (mid-year earnings are permitted).
Cost contribution to laser eye treatments: A maximum of CHF 600 per eye (once).
After the laser eye correction treatment has been done, no benefits for eyeglass lenses and contact lenses will be paid in the year of the procedure or within the next 5 calendar years.
A waiting period of 365 days applies.

Vaccinations:

100 percent contribution to costs, up to a maximum of CHF 800 per calendar year.

Preventative examinations:

Contribution to the cost of preventive gynaecological examinations: 100 percent, if there is no coverage under basic insurance.
Contribution to the costs of early prevention, diagnostics, and check-ups: 75 percent up to CHF 4000 per calendar year.

Gym memberships:

Cost contribution for courses and subscriptions in the areas of fitness, sports, and wellness: CHF 600 per calendar year, maximum CHF 300 per area.

Medicines:

90 percent for medicines accepted by Swissmedic, maximum CHF 50,000 per calendar year.
Complementary medicines remedies: 75 percent up to CHF 500 per calendar year.

Alternative medicine:

75 percent up to CHF 4000 per calendar year (excluding medicines, franchise of CHF 100 per calendar year per insured person of majority age).

Psychotherapy:

Cost contribution to digital psychological advice: 75 percent, up to CHF 1000 per calendar year.

Search & rescue in Switzerland:

Full cover for emergency transportation and rescue costs. No coverage of search costs.

Search & rescue abroad:

Full coverage from integrated travel and vacation insurance during a maximum of 8 weeks per calendar year.
Search costs up to CHF 20,000 per insured person.

Medical costs abroad:

Full coverage from integrated travel and vacation insurance during a maximum of 8 weeks per calendar year.
Dental treatment is only insured up to a maximum of CHF 3000 as a result of an accident.

Tooth misalignment treatments:

Not covered.

Dental treatments:

Not covered.

Spa & convalescent therapy :

Not covered.

Equipment:

100 percent, up to CHF 600 per calendar year.

Sterilization:

Contribution to the cost of ligation: 75 percent up to CHF 2000 (one-time).

Maternity:

Contribution to the costs of pregnancy checkups, prenatal classes, breastfeeding counseling: 75 percent up to CHF 450 per pregnancy.
A waiting period of 270 days applies.

Ear corrections:

Not covered.

Home care:

Not covered.

Additional services:

Patient legal protection (up to CHF 300,000 per event or up to CHF 100,000 per event in cases outside Europe and the Mediterranean countries) and travel insurance included.
Medical massages: 75 percent, maximum CHF 650 per calendar year.
