Policy

A policy is part of a contract between an insurance provider and the person or entity which they insure.

The policy documents the exact benefits, terms and conditions attached to the insurance coverage provided, and the premiums due in exchange for the coverage.

Other parts of the insurance contract are the general insurance terms and conditions, and the general rules and regulations excluding exact premium obligations, discounts and customer-specific conditions.
