Swiss Car Insurance Customer Satisfaction Survey 2026

April 9, 2026 - Dan Urner

Car insurance providers received good ratings from Swiss consumers, as the 2026 car insurance customer satisfaction survey shows. But satisfaction differs between insurance providers, as well as across genders and age groups.

For many customers, car insurance has become more expensive over the past years. But that does not seem to have impacted customer satisfaction, with Swiss consumers giving their car insurance providers good ratings, on the whole. That is the key takeaway from this year’s moneyland.ch car insurance customer satisfaction survey.

The average customer satisfaction score across all categories is 7.8 points, which translates into a “good” rating. That is higher than last year’s average of 7.5 points.

Women and older adults are more satisfied with their insurance

An interesting fact revealed by the survey is that women are noticeably more satisfied with their car insurance than men are. The average rating across male survey participants is 7.6 points, compared to 8.0 points across female participants.

There are also notable differences between age groups. The older the survey participant, the more likely they are to be satisfied with their car insurance. The average customer satisfaction rating across adults aged 50 to 74 years old is 8.2 points, compared to 7.6 points across those aged 26 to 49, and 7.1 points for those aged 18 to 24.

TCS customers are the most satisfied

A comparison of customer satisfaction ratings across different insurance providers shows that TCS has the most satisfied customers, with 8.3 points (a “very good” rating). Other insurers that qualify for the “very good” rating are Smile and Mobiliar, with 8.2 points each, and Zurich, with 8.0 points.
