The moneyland.ch Swiss Health Insurance Customer Satisfaction Survey 2026 shows that most residents rate their health insurers positively in spite of climbing premiums. Satisfaction with value for money is low, while customers most appreciate the friendliness of employees.
The constantly climbing cost of health insurance is a cause of worry for many residents. But that does not seem to have impacted customer satisfaction with health insurance providers, as a representative survey by moneyland.ch shows.
A total of 1500 residents of French-speaking and German-speaking regions were asked to rate their satisfaction with their health insurance providers. The average rating for overall satisfaction is high, at 7.8 out of 10 points, which translates into a “good” rating.
Value for money takes the last place
The effect of the constant price hikes can be seen in the ratings for value for money criterion. Of all the criteria included in the survey, value for money received the lowest ratings by far. On the other end of the spectrum, customers are most satisfied with the friendliness of employees (7.9 points), as well as the availability of customer services and the speed with which claims are settled (7.8 points each).
Customers of Groupe Mutuel are particularly unsatisfied with the value they get for their money. The average rating is just 6.5 percent for this insurer and criterion. Atupri received the highest value for money ratings, with 7.6 points.
Many health insurance providers received a “very good” rating
A comparison of customer satisfaction ratings across health insurance providers reveals tight competition. Four health insurance providers share first place: Helsana, ÖKK, Sanitas, and the Swica group all receiving an average of 8.0 points, which translates into a “very good” rating. Atupri, Concordia, and Visana follow close behind with 7.9 points each (a “good” rating).
