Swiss Insurance Customer Satisfaction Survey 2026
Get a detailed overview of the Swiss Insurance Customer Satisfaction Survey results.
This year’s Swiss Insurance Customer Satisfaction Survey shows that consumers are satisfied with their insurance providers. Customers most value the friendliness of employees, but are less satisfied with costs and insurance premiums.
Today, one can get insured against almost any risk. In Switzerland, personal liability insurance, household insurance, and car insurance are among the most popular insurance products. The representative Swiss Insurance Customer Satisfaction Survey from online comparison service moneyland.ch gives insights into customer satisfaction with Swiss insurance companies.
The results show that residents are satisfied with their insurance providers. Survey participants gave Swiss insurers an average rating of 7.8 out of 10 points. That translates into a “good” rating.
Top ratings for friendliness, bottom ratings for premiums
From the viewpoint of the survey’s participants, the friendliness of insurance company employees and customer service are the most satisfactory, with both receiving “very good” ratings. These two criteria have average ratings of 8.2 and 8.0 respectively. Consultation and quality of service follow close behind, with 7.9 points each.
Value for money (7.4 points) and costs and premiums (7.1 points) both garnered enough points for a “good” rating, but take the tail end compared to other criteria. “Many insurance providers have raised their premiums in the recent past. We have seen that trend with household insurance and car insurance, for example,” comments moneyland.ch insurance specialist Daniel Dreier.
Mobiliar has the most satisfied customers
A look at customer satisfaction ratings across insurance companies shows that Mobiliar has the most satisfied customers. Its average rating for overall satisfaction is 8.3 points, which translates into a “very good” rating for the Bernese insurance company. Other insurance providers with “very good” ratings are TCS (8.2 points) and Smile (8.0 points).

Methodology
The study is based on a representative online survey conducted by market research institute Ipsos on behalf of moneyland.ch in early 2026. The survey included 1500 participants between the ages of 18 and 74 across French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland.
The survey accounted for car insurance, household insurance, personal liability insurance, and travel insurance. Health insurance was not included in the survey.
Participants rated their satisfaction with these aspects of service: The friendliness of employees, consultation, customer service, quality of service, mobile apps, costs and premiums, value for money, information, and overall satisfaction.
The 1500 participants rated their satisfaction with their existing insurance providers on a scale of 1 (not at all satisfied) to 10 (completely satisfied). Participants were also given the option of abstaining. Points are converted to ratings based on this conversion table:
