General information:

Standard version Supplemental II. Travel insurance Vacanza included. Can only be contracted together with basic, complementary or supplementary hospital insurance!

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

2% discount when taking out a 3-year contract, 3% discount when taking out a 5-year contract. Discount for early payment.

Premiums depend on various factors such as age and place of residence.
The premiums for 2026 are shown here.

The last age class change is at age 86.

Glasses and contact lenses:

Cost contribution to eyeglass lenses, contact lenses and vision aids: 90 percent, maximum 200 per calendar year up to the age of 18. CHF 200 every 3 years from the age of 18.
Eyeglass lenses/contact lenses with a correction of more than 10 diopters: 90%, maximum CHF 750 per calendar year.

Vaccinations:

Contribution to the cost of preventive and travel vaccinations: 90 percent up to CHF 200 per calendar year.

Preventative examinations:

Contribution to the cost of Check-ups: 90 percent up to CHF 300 every 3 years. Cost coverage of preventive gynaecological examinations: 90 percent.

Gym memberships:

Contribution to the cost of fitness subscriptions: CHF 200 per year (voucher). Other checks with a value of CHF 150 for courses.

Medicines:

90 percent for medicines accepted by Swissmedic. 50% according to list of Visana group.

Alternative medicine:

Additional product needed.

Psychotherapy:

Not covered.

Search & rescue in Switzerland:

Emergency transportation: 90 percent, up to CHF 20,000 per calendar year. Search and rescue coverage: 90 percent, up to CHF 25,000 per calendar year.
Travel expenses: 50%, maximum CHF 2000 per calendar year.

Search & rescue abroad:

Emergency transportation: full coverage. Search and rescue coverage up to CHF 25,000 (Vacanza: during 8 weeks per trip only).

Medical costs abroad:

Full coverage of emergency outpatient and inpatient treatment with the Visana Vacanza integrated travel insurance for eight weeks per trip.

Tooth misalignment treatments:

80 percent up to CHF 10,000 per insured person.
No contribution to the removal of wisdom teeth.

Dental treatments:

Surgical procedure: 25 percent up to CHF 500 per calendar year.

Spa & convalescent therapy :

Not covered.

Equipment:

90 percent up to CHF 1000 per calendar year.

Sterilization:

Cost contribution of 90 percent.

Maternity:

Cost contribution of further Check-up and ultrasound: 90 percent.
Waiting period: 270 days.

Ear corrections:

Cost contribution of 90 percent.

Home care:

Medically prescribed care and assistance at home: Coverage of CHF 50 per day with a maximum of 30 days per calendar year. After that, CHF 25 per day for a maximum of a further 30 days per calendar year.

Additional services:

Travel insurance Visana Vacanza is included for 8 weeks per trip.
