Choice of hospital and doctor:

Free choice of ward when you go to the hospital and free choice of doctor (semi-private and private wards) in all hospitals recognized by Concordia throughout Switzerland.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums varies depending on the age and place of residence of the insured person. The premiums for 2026 are shown here.
Co-payment of 20% up to CHF 2000 per calendar year (semi-private ward) / 35% up to CHF 4000 per calendar year (private ward).

For medical reasons and prescribed by a doctor in a recognized spa: Up to CHF 30 per day for up to 21 days per calendar year for spa treatments and convalescence cures in Switzerland.

Maternity:

Outpatient birth or birth at home: CHF 300 per birth.
Waiting period: 270 days.
Costs for healthy new born babies not covered by basic insurance (semi-private and private division).

Rooming in:

CHF 60 per day for parent's accomodation costs.

Home help:

CHF 30 per day during a maximum of 30 days per calendar year.

Home care:

Emergency transport costs:

Psychiatry:

Insurance coverage is offered for a maximum of 180 days within 365 consecutive days, provided that the stay in the corresponding clinic is medically necessary, but there is no chronic medical condition.
