Dear sir/madame,

How often do you update your retirement fund comparison charts?

How should I go about comparing performance with costs? Have you already deducted costs from the performance estimates?

Thank you for your help.

Hi there,

Currently, moneyland.ch updates the information on the 3a retirement fund comparison table once or twice per year. You can request this tabular comparison at the foot of the moneyland.ch guide to 3a retirement funds.

Costs and performance are color coded, with green indicating low costs or good past performance and red indicating high costs and poor past performance.

Because past performance is no guarantee of future performance, costs are the most important factor to consider when choosing a retirement fund. These remain the same regardless of performance. Fees, including the annual total expense ratio (TER), custodial fees, front end load fees and back end load fees are listed individually in addition to the total cost estimate.

The table also shows the approximate portion of the fund's portfolio which is made up of stock investments (the higher the ratio of stocks, the higher the risk), and the amount of assets managed by the fund. The risk-profile indicates the fund's risk based on its stock investment ratio. The table also shows whether a fund is actively or passively managed, whether it pays out retrocession fees, and whether shareholders can continue to hold their shares after reaching legal retirement age.

Best regards from Moneyguru
