Hi there,

Charitable donations and political donations can be deducted from from taxable income for Swiss income tax puposes.

Deductions for charitable donations cannot exceed 20% of your total income.

In order to deduct larger donations (more than several hundred francs), you will generally need to provide some form of proof (a receipt from the charitable organization, for example).

Regulations and deductions vary between cantons. You can find a list of possible deductions for each canton on the Zewo website, among others.

Best regards from Moneyguru
