Free choice of ward in listed hospitals with a service mandate and recognized tariff. Free choice of doctor in the semi-private and private wards.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year. For contracts with a term longer than three years, the legal termination provisions apply.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums depends on various factors such as age, gender and place of residence. Discount for a 3-year contract, for prepayment and for using the KPTnet customer portal (Receiving documents online, including free internet legal protection insurance).
Co-payments semi-private ward: CHF 300 per day, maximum CHF 6000 per calendar year (up to age 18, CHF 3000 per calendar year). Co-payments private ward: CHF 500 per day, maximum CHF 6000 per calendar year (up to age 18, CHF 3000 per calendar year).
The last age class change is at age 91.

Maternity:

Childbirth costs are covered in listed hospitals throughout Switzerland. CHF 500 for an outpatient birth. The costs for the stay and care of the healthy newborn are covered. Domestic help after an inpatient birth: CHF 50 per day (maximum 5 days). Waiting period: 270 days.

Emergency transport costs:

Full coverage of costs for medically necessary transportation in Switzerland for inpatient treatment.
