Choice of hospital and doctor:

Full coverage throughout Switzerland in the general wards of all listed hospitals with a service mandate and recognized tariff.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year. For contracts with a term longer than three years, the legal termination provisions apply.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums depends on various factors such as age, gender and place of residence. Without hospital deductible. Discount for a 3-year contract, for prepayment and for using the KPTnet customer portal (Receiving documents online, including free internet legal protection insurance).
The last age class change (from 66 years or from 71 years) depends on the age at the time of taking out the insurance.

Spa and convalescent therapy:

For medical reasons and prescribed by a doctor in a recognized spa: CHF 20 per day for a maximum of 42 days within 5 calendar years (spa cures) or CHF 20 per day for a maximum of 30 days per calendar year (convalescent cures).

Maternity:

Birth costs are covered throughout Switzerland in listed hospitals (general ward). For a birth at a birth centre: CHF 100 per day during a maximum of 5 days. Waiting period: 270 days. The costs for the stay and care of the healthy newborn are covered.

Rooming in:

Cost of accomodation for an accompanying person up to CHF 50 per day during a maximum of 14 days.

Home help:

CHF 20 per day (for a maximum of 60 consecutive days).
These treatments cannot be combined with spa treatments.

Home care:

Not specified.

Emergency transport costs:

Full coverage of costs for medically necessary transportation in Switzerland for inpatient treatment.
Transport abroad for inpatient treatment: CHF 2000 per event.

Search and rescue costs:

Up to CHF 20,000 per incident in Switzerland.

Repatriation:

No coverage.

Hospital abroad:

In case of acute illness or accident: Up to CHF 20,000 per calendar year.

Rehabilitation stationary:

For a maximum of 60 days within 5 calendar years: full coverage.

Psychiatry:

For a maximum of 720 days: contribution to costs according to the insured ward. If re-entry within 180 days, the previous days will be added to the total.

Additional services:

Travel and vacation insurance included (maximum 8 weeks per calendar year).
