Acceptance not guaranteed. Health check by Swica beforehand. Swica offsets co-payments from the basic insurance against those from the supplemental (hospital) insurance.

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.
Rates based on the age when the insured person joined Swica. Rates don't change afterwards. In case of co-payments (CHF 1000 to CHF 5000) discounts between 15 and 50 percent.
Convalescence cures up to CHF 50 per day, spa treatments up to CHF 100 per day (max. 30 days per year).
Additional costs for the newborn during the mother's confinement, the same as the mothers' cover.
