Free choice of department in all Sanitas-recognized hospitals in Switzerland.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums varies depending on the age, place of residence and gender of the insured person. Free of premiums from the 3rd child. Discount for early payment.
With a 25% deductible (semi-private, up to a maximum of CHF 10,000 per calendar year) or 50% deductible (private, up to a maximum of CHF 20,000 per calendar year).

Spa and convalescent therapy:

For medical reasons and prescribed by a doctor in a recognized spa: convalescence or spa treatment up to CHF 10 per day (maximum 21 days per calendar year).
CHF 100 per day for a maximum of 28 days per calendar year for cures at the Dead Sea in Israel or Jordan for the treatment of psoriasis or vitiligo.
A maximum of 1 cure in the mentioned scope is paid per calendar year.

Maternity:

Postpartum stay in a recognized birthing center. Waiting period: 9 months.

Rooming in:

No coverage.

Home help:

CHF 10 per day, together with home care for a maximum of 90 days per calendar year (maximum CHF 1800 per calendar year).
In the event of childbirth, the aforementioned benefits are paid for a maximum of 14 days within one month of childbirth and are deducted from the maximum duration of benefits.

Home care:

CHF 20 per day, together with home help for a maximum of 90 days per calendar year (maximum CHF 1800 per calendar year).

Psychiatry:

Multi-bed room for a maximum of 180 days in contractual hospitals. After 180 days coverage of treatment costs and a maximum of CHF 20 per day for accommodation and nursing care. At AHV age, these benefits are paid for a maximum of 720 days within 900 days.

Hospitalization costs for healthy newborns.
