Full coverage throughout Switzerland in the semi-private wards of all Helsana-recognized hospitals in Switzerland. Two-bed room. Free choice of doctor.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums varies depending on the age, place of residence and gender of the insured person. 3% discount when taking out a 3-year contract (for new customers). Minimum 5 percent family discount. Discounts ranging from 15 to 35 percent with cost-sharing (deductibles).
Premiums for over-65s are a maximum of 3x the premiums for 30-year-olds and for over-70s a maximum of 4x the premiums for 30-year-olds.

Maternity:

Full coverage in the semi-private ward of all Helsana-recognized hospitals in Switzerland.
CHF 1500 birth lump sum for outpatient delivery.
Waiting period: 365 days.

Rooming in:

Cost of accomodation for an accompanying person up to CHF 100 per day during a maximum of 15 days per calendar year.

Home help:

Up to CHF 100 per day for up to 30 days per calendar year for medically prescribed home help (including Spitex).

Home care:

No benefits.

Emergency transport costs:

Available within the supplemental outpatient insurance by Helsana.

Search and rescue costs:
